9 Days Uganda Gorillas, Chimpanzees & Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arriving in Entebbe
Arriving at the airport you will be warmly welcomed by your guide Dan and transferred to Protea hotel in Entebbe
Day 2: Entebbe to Lake Mburo National park
Drive south westwards and stop at the equator for photographs and souvenirs, Drive by local communities and the rolling plains of Ankole, Continue on to Lake Mburo National Park arriving in time for Lunch and an afternoon boat ride. Overnight stay at accommodation at Rwakobo Rock Lodge.
Day 3 Lake Mburo - Queen Elizabeth National Park
Get up ready for an early morning game drive. The park’s diverse ecosystem of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Look out for buffaloes, lions, elephants and other wild life in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge and relax, lunch, diner and overnight at Kyambura Gorge Lodge
Day 4 Chimpanzee Tracking in Queen Elizabeth National Park
This is a day of great expereince ; chimpanzee trekking in kyambura gorge Forest. Early morning walk in Kyambura Forest to track the habituated chimps. Watch the delightful apes as they squabble and play in trees. Have lunch at Mweya safari lodge, After lunch go for the afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This is a home of a variety of water birds and on a hot day, hippos, elephants, buffaloes and waterbucks can be sighted as they bathe and drink water at the water edge. Crocodiles are occasionally sighted along the channel banks. Dinner and overnight stay at Kyambura gorge lodge.
Day 5: Ishasha sector Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive to Ishisha, afternoon game drive for tree climbing lions of Ishasha. Dinner and overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Lodge
Day 6 Ishasha - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
We shall drive through the country side passing through traditional home stead and farms, in the afternoon we shall go for a 3 hour village walk. Take note of the livelihoods of the local communities, visit a traditional herbalist, black smith and a local brewery to see how beer is brewed using local methods. Enjoy the traditional dances offered by the community. If we have time, we can visit Bwindi hospital and see how we can help the local community. Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Safari Camp.
Day 7 - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enter the forest at dawn and enjoy the beauty and freshness of the forest, home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorillas. After a short briefing by the guides, proceed through the dense bush to trek for these endangered animals depending on where they built their nest the previous night. For conservation purposes, time allowed with the Gorillas is 1 hour. Observe the gentle giants as they feed and play.
Day 8 Bwindi to Entebbe, Entebbe – Jinja
Flight to Entebbe, lunch in Entebbe, transfer to Jinja diner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort.
Day 9 Jinja ‘the adventure capital of Uganda’
Take a boat ride on the Source of the Nile
Jinja is the industrial and tourist heart beat of Uganda with an attractively lush location on the northern shores of lake Victoria above the Ripon falls identified by Speke in 1862 as the source of the Nile but submerged following the construction of the Owen falls dam.
The adventure capital is known for the source of the Nile Africa’s longest river, the seat of the Busoga Kingdom, numerous hotels and resorts, the Nile high bang jumping, white water rafting, Bujagali falls, Bujagali shrine, art centres, plantations and industries

Notes on Gorilla tracking - Gorilla trekking is a strenuous activity and one should be fit to enjoy this tour. - Minimum gorilla tracking age is 15 years.
- Anyone with signs of communicable diseases will NOT be allowed to track. - While possession of a gorilla permit is a guarantee of trekking and sighting the gorillas, the quality of the gorilla trekking cannot be guaranteed. - Maximum time allowed with the gorillas will NOT exceed ONE hour. We strongly recommend the following: - Rain poncho (lightweight) - Long-sleeved shirt - Waterproof trousers - Sturdy hiking boots - Leather gardening -type gloves - Sunscreen, - Insect repellent and any necessary medications must be brought by you either from your home town or Kampala. - Still Cameras and Camcorders are allowed, but bring batteries and film from your home town
