Most visitors to Kibale National Park are here for a range of activities including, chimpanzee tracking, the Bigodi swamp walk and the primate walk through the forest. Primate lovers will have a memorable experience visiting Kibale National Park as 13 primates species can be seen, as well as different types of monkeys. The star and biggest attraction to the Kibale Forest Nature walk however is undoubtedly the chimpanzees. The success rate is extremely high as there is a very high concentration and high population density of chimps in Kibale National Park with large chimp numbers in each troop. Guided chimp tracking walks start at 8am and 2pm and last an average of two to three hours.

The full-day Kibale National Park Chimpanzee Habituation Experience gives visitors a chance to work with a chimp community which is undergoing habituation. If you arrive early you will get a chance to witness the chimpanzees waking up from their overnight nests between 6:00 - 6:30am before they go about their daily business, mating feeding, looking for food, breast feeding, playing, resting, patrolling and cheekily jumping from tree to tree until about 7pm when they return to build new nests for the night.
